About the role
The Drug and Alcohol Intake Clinician, is responsible for providing a centralised first point of contact, including telephone and face to face, information and referral service for Drug and Alcohol Services within Western NSW Local Health District, for clients seeking assistance with substance use problems.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, working closely with the whole MDT as well as working closely with clinicians from Mental Health Drug and Alcohol as well as several NGO's, other health agencies, and local GP's.

The teams within WNSWLHD includes, Social Workers, Psychologists, Health Clinician, Nurses, Addiction Medicine Specialists, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Consultants and Clinical Leads

The hours of the service are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm excluding public holidays.

You will be provided with orientation to the role, opportunity to undertake training relative to the role.
