LAUNDRY ATTENDANT - Hamilton Island / Laundry Services

Hamilton Island has a range of hotels, outlets, and facilities that offer guests the opportunity to relax and enjoy the island in beautiful surroundings. As a Laundry Attendant, you'll play an important role in ensuring the smooth distribution of linen across our hotels and food & beverage outlets. Through correct handling, storage, and transportation of linen, you'll help maintain presentation standards, minimise wastage, and support an exceptional guest experience.

Your Role

As a Laundry Attendant, you'll be responsible for the distribution, handling, and storage of linen across the island while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.

Where you'll make an impact

Ensure assigned areas are clean, safe, and hygienic at all times
Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
Complete daily forklift safety inspections and report issues promptly
Receive, sort, and distribute linen and towelling across the island
Maintain linen presentation standards through correct handling and storage
Support food & beverage outlets through table linen distribution
Collect used towels and replenish laundry facilities across the island
Assist with stock management and report shortages to supervisors
Maintain laundry service areas and storage facilities
Complete daily operational checklists and reporting requirements

What we're looking for

You are reliable, safety-conscious, and enjoy working in a physically active environment. You take pride in maintaining high standards and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

To be successful, you will need:

Queensland Open/Unrestricted Driver's Licence (Essential)
Minimum 6 months' experience in a similar role (Desirable)
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a physically demanding role
Flexible approach to rotating rosters and varying shifts
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
