About the role
We are looking for a Planner to deliver effective maintenance planning and scheduling activities across fixed plant assets. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive professional to contribute to safe, reliable and efficient operations. This role is offered on a 5/2 - 4/3 fly-in fly-out roster.
Reporting to the Superintendent Planning and working in a collaborative and dynamic environment within the Planning team, you will be:
Reviewing approved notifications, allocating initial priority for non-urgent tasks and providing feedback to originators on status
Estimating labour requirements and equipment downtime to support effective planning
Developing detailed work order plans and assigning resource requirements for approved non-urgent work
Analysing maintenance history and failure data to ensure accuracy of records and continuous improvement
Coordinating warranty and repairable/rotable processes with relevant internal stakeholders
Reviewing work for scheduling considering asset criticality, statutory requirements, safety impact and project maintenance
About you
A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
Experience in maintenance planning or scheduling in the mining industry, particularly fixed plant
Strong capability with CMMS maintenance modules
Advanced computer skills, including intermediate to advanced MS Office (Excel / Project)
Sound mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence (manual) and a respectful, inclusive approach to teamwork

Located 50km north-west of Newman, Hope Downs 4 is a joint venture managed and operated by Rio Tinto, working in conjunction with nearby site Hope Downs 1. Hope Downs 4 provides excellent career growth and opportunities and the village provides excellent facilities for its fly-in fly-out workers.
