I-MED Radiology has an opportunity for a Registered Nurseto join the busy team in our Mentone Clinic with rotation with other sites within the central region.
This role is a Part-time Position working 3 days a week Monday, Tuesday and Friday between the hours of 8:30am - 4:30pm and would suit an experienced nurse looking to work in an interventional clinic.
The Role
Our Registered Nurse will provide high quality, accurate and efficient medical imaging nursing services to the business, whilst ensuring an absolute commitment to the delivery of professional, caring, and friendly services to patients, referrers, and customers, and achieving quality, cost, and productivity targets for the business.
Some of your responsibilities will include and are not limited to:
- Assist the Radiologist for interventional procedures, including gaining informed consent and medical history assessment, monitoring baseline observations and recovering patients post procedure.
- Interventional Procedures Include: Biopsies, Lumbar Punctures, Drainages, assisting with PICC insertion and Pain Management Injections.
- Working collaboratively with Radiologists, Nuclear Medicine Physicians, technical and administrative staff and managers.
- Working independently as a sole nurse at sites.
Our Ideal Registered Nurse To be successful in this role:
- You will have prior exposure working in a clinic or hospital environment as a Registered Nurse. This role is not suitable for new graduate nurses.
- Your communication skills will be strong and high-quality patient-centred care will sit at the heart of all that you do.
- You will be able to prioritise your workload, work independently and be able to respond to various situations within a busy clinic effectively and efficiently.
- Training will be provided.
Please note, you will hold a Registered Nurse qualification as a minimum and will have a current AHPRA Registration and be an Experienced Division 1 nurse. It is advantageous if you have prior IV Cannulation and radiology experience.
