We are currently seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to join the Industrials & Resources Team. Based in our office at Southbank in Brisbane, and reporting to the Senior P&C Business Partner. The portfolio is a National remit, the primary function of this role is to deliver high quality and accurate P&C/ER/IR advice to Managers and Employees and support our line of business to achieve project deliverables.

About the Role

Support the P&C component for tenders, including strategic mapping of the portfolio to ensure alignment with the broader business strategy

Support disciplinary matters and workplace investigations

Support Enterprise Agreement negotiations, financial modelling, benchmarking and payroll interpretation

Broad overview of Industrial Relations and supporting stakeholders with industrial matters on site such as Right of Entry.

Support the P&C component set up including mobilisation and recruitment processes, ensuring P&C project deliverables are met

Regularly undertake proactive and comprehensive stakeholder engagement activities to consistently increase the level of business partnering and support across the portfolio

Generate both regular and adhoc reports, including P&C metrics, analysis and the identification of trends

Provide guidance on leadership and support to ensure the P&C team are compliant with UGL management systems and practices

Support coaching on ongoing development of operational Managers and Leaders

About You

Tertiary qualifications in HR/IR or a related discipline

Valid Driver's License

White Card/Blue Card

3-5 years experience in a P&C function, with comprehensive exposure to IR, ER and training

High focus on team cultural and contributing to team achievements

Multi-site P&C experience in the industrial, Mining or Shutdowns and Outages sector is desirable

Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels internally and externally

High attention to detail

Methodical and demonstrated ability to work independently, with discretion, to organise and prioritise demands, and handle complex tasks simultaneously, within a fast-paced environment

Willingness to travel to sites across Australia, sometimes at short notice

Adaptable and with strong negotiation, influencing and conflict resolution skills

Demonstrated ability to adapt to workplace change, learn quickly, and put new skills and knowledge to immediate use

Our line of business is primarily project driven around high-volume Outages and Shutdowns. You would need to thrive in a very fast paced environment as part of a high performing and collaborative team.
