About The Opportunity

Programmed are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Revit Drafter to support the delivery of commercial, educational, and institutional projects. Working closely with the project architects and design team, you will be responsible for developing BIM models and producing high-quality documentation from concept design through to construction.

This role is ideal for someone with strong Revit skills, a solid understanding of building construction, and a passion for delivering accurate and coordinated documentation for complex projects.

This is a casual position (2 - 3 days per week), offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a range of projects, with the potential to transition into a full-time permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain architectural BIM models using Revit.
  • Prepare planning permit, building permit, tender, and construction documentation packages.
  • Produce detailed plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and construction details.
  • Coordinate architectural documentation with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire, and other consultant disciplines.
  • Assist in the delivery of commercial, educational, and institutional projects through all project stages.
  • Ensure documentation complies with the NCC, BCA, and client requirements.
  • Support project architects in resolving technical and documentation issues.
  • Participate in internal quality assurance reviews and project coordination meetings.
  • Maintain company BIM standards and documentation procedures.

Skills and Experience

  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Essential)
  • Approximately 2-3 years of relevant professional experience, demonstrating the ability to contribute effectively to project delivery.
  • Experience in architectural documentation for commercial, educational, community, or institutional projects.
  • Strong understanding of NCC, BCA, and documentation standards.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant information.
  • Excellent attention to construction details.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative project team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Exposure to VSBA projects, the education sector, or local government/consulting environments is highly regarded but not essential.
