We currently have an opportunity for a commercially driven individual to join our Sales team as a Sales Executive - Groups. The key focus of this role is to accelerate growth across Jetstar's group travel segment through proactive business development and the acquisition of new customers. This is a true business development role, where you will be responsible for identifying and converting new opportunities across education, sport, corporate, MICE, leisure and special interest markets. You will play a key role in building a strong sales pipeline, winning new business and driving incremental revenue through Jetstar's group travel products.
We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, with a passion for sales and a strong ability to open new relationships. You will be highly proactive, confident in prospecting, and motivated by turning opportunities into results. This is not a traditional account management role, but rather a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious sales professional looking to make a tangible commercial impact within the aviation industry.
What You'll Be Doing
- Drive incremental revenue growth through acquisition of new Groups customers
- Build and maintain a robust, high-quality sales pipeline aligned to revenue targets
- Identify, qualify and convert new group travel opportunities across multiple segments
- Lead the end-to-end sales cycle (discovery solution negotiation close)
- Generate leads through prospecting, referrals, networking and industry events
- Represent Jetstar at industry forums, trade shows and customer events
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers to position Jetstar's value proposition
- Partner with internal teams to deliver seamless, commercially sound group travel solutions
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in new business development / BDM (hunter role)
- Strong track record of converting pipeline into revenue
- Ability to confidently prospect, cold call and open new opportunities
- Experience managing end-to-end sales cycles
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex environments
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Highly self-motivated with strong commercial drive
