Our team is working on small, medium and large projects across a range of sectors, including projects in Defence, Data Centres and DFAT. But we have a national team approach to all our projects, which means you will work on projects across Australia, not just projects in the VIC, ensuring you gain a breadth of experience across a diverse range of projects and industries.
You'll scope and steer civil works from concept through detailed design and construction support, coordinate inputs from roads, drainage, utilities and pavements, and bring a pragmatic eye for buildability, safety and whole of life performance. You'll be a trusted advisor to clients and partners-facilitating workshops, de risking decisions, and shaping clear, compliant deliverables-while mentoring our emerging engineers and championing digital design and quality standards. What you'll do:
- The opportunity to work on iconic projects within a multi-disciplined engineering team to deliver a range of civil engineering design projects.
- Carry out assigned project and design work as part of an integral team adhering to technical and commercial standards.
- Manage ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with clients.
- Lead and deliver current civil engineering projects from inception through to construction in support of technical and commercial standards, and within time constraints and cost budgets.
- Work in a varied, hands-on role with a leadership angle across design management, superintendency and site surveillance.
- Delegate and supervise the work of junior engineers.
- Partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders and be committed to team approach and outcomes.
About You
- Bachelor to Masters' level degree in Civil Engineering.
- 4-10 years industry experience in the Property and Building space/ Land Development of brownfield sites, ideally within consulting.
- Commercial experience in Australia on local medium/large building civil engineering projects is essential.
- Well versed in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging in scale and sector, e.g. commercial, residential, industrial, land development, subdivisions and infrastructure/roads;
- Strong client relationship management and project management skills;
- Sound working knowledge of relevant local Australian Standards and Codes (AS/NZS 3500, NCC etc.);
- Demonstrated proficiency in using Design software eg; 12D, Civil 3D etc.
- Eligibility to obtain Australian Defence security clearance is essential - only eligible to Australian Citizens (Permanent Resident, NZ Citizens & Visa holders are not eligible).
- Highly developed customer-focus, leadership, teamwork, interpersonal & communication skills.
- 12d model intermediate experience preferred for road and drainage design.
- Proficiency in 'MUSIC' would be desirable.
- Chartered status with Engineers Australia would be an advantage.
