Engineering Systems Administrator
ArsenalOS is the digital backbone of Anduril's hardware enterprise. It connects the full lifecycle, from concept to build to field feedback, into one operating environment built for speed, traceability, autonomy, and continuous improvement. That environment includes not just the software used to design, plan, and execute work, but also the factory-facing infrastructure that connects operators, machines, test systems, and OT networks into the same adaptive Build Chain. It is not a support function, but rather a strategic investment by Anduril that the operating system of the hardware lifecycle is how we win. It will be one of the mechanisms by which Anduril out-builds, out-adapts, and out-scales the traditional defense industrial base.
We are seeking a highly skilled PLM Administrators to join our team. You will be responsible for helping product and program teams maximize the value they get out of the engineering systems they use on a daily basic (PLM, CAD, CAE, etc.). You will work across a broad set of stakeholders to design, develop, and implement improvements and optimizations to our engineering systems while helping steer future investments.
This role is predominantly focused on our sovereign engineering systems - environments that handle export-controlled goods and data under the Defence Trade Controls Act 2012 and the Defence and Strategic Goods List (DSGL). You will ensure that engineering data management practices comply with Australian export control obligations, and support the management of technical data within systems that may handle controlled information. Some exposure to classified environments is expected as the role matures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering partners to understand their requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions alongside other Engineer Systems team members
- Provide training and support to users during and post-implementation to ensure adoption of new technology
- Lead the development and implementation of new features, including defining project scope, requirements, timelines, and budgets
- Collaborate with developers to identify and address issues, bugs, and enhancement requests from both PLM and any integration to other systems (CAD, etc.)
- Provide support for the installation and post go-live of upgrades and new modules within PLM
- Work with vendors and third-party service providers to implement upgrades and new modules
- Collect infrastructure and configuration questions for PLM and any integration to other systems (CAD, etc.)
- Ensure engineering data management practices comply with export control obligations (DSGL, DTC Act)
- Support access control and data segregation for export-controlled technical data within PLM systems
- Contribute to the administration of engineering systems within classified environments as required
Required Characteristics:
Anduril is an extremely fast-paced defense manufacturing and technology startup that is rapidly scaling itself. Our culture is one of ambition, hard work, relentless pursuit of excellence, and deliberate disruption. The successful candidate will be one who demonstrates the follow core characteristics:

- Dive Deep - they sweat the details and roll up their sleeves to uncover the root causes for systemic issues
- Ownership - they care deeply not just about their systems, but for all the business outcomes that their systems supports as well, holding themselves accountable for everything it both does and fails to do
- Agility - they change directions easily and without regret, quickly adapting to shifting business priorities
- First Principles Thinking - they approach problems and develop solutions not based on what a vendor recommends or because it's how they did things at their last job, but from a deep appreciation of what is best for the enterprise
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with engineers and technical teams
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to learn - willing to pick up learning new tools and systems (Teamcenter)
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in installing, developing, implementing, upgrading, and maintaining Engineer Systems (PLM, CAD, CAE, SysML, etc.) - OR - 5+ years as a systems administrator/engineer in Defence or a highly regulated environment with a willingness to specialise into engineering systems administration
- Understanding of CAD/CAM/CAE systems and their integration with PLM solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to root cause end user and infrastructure related issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of both Windows and Linux systems, along with software installations
- Must be an Australian citizen and eligible to obtain an NV2 clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Siemens Teamcenter (or equivalent PLM platform: Windchill, Enovia, Aras)
- Experience working in environments that handle export-controlled goods or data (DSGL, ITAR, EAR)
- Familiarity with data segregation and access control requirements for controlled technical data
- Background in Defence or national security environments
- Experience with systems administration in classified or accredited environments (ISM, DSPF)
- Understanding of configuration management principles and engineering change processes
