What you'll be doing

The Dietitian will provide specialist Dietetic assessment, intervention and clinical support as part of the First 2000 Days multidisciplinary team, delivering patient-centred care to paediatric and Antenatal clients and their families.

How to apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible:

  • Tertiary qualification in Dietetics and eligible for Membership of Dietitian's Australia, with a minimum of 3 years post graduate experience.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in Paediatric and Antenatal Health , including the assessment and management of various clinical presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver Dietetic Services in Hospital, Community Health settings, private residences and outreach locations.
  • Strong communication, documentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams like CAFN, Midwifery and Paediatrics, GP's, community NGO's
  • Experience in education and support of patients, families and carers, including the ability to build capacity within Paediatric teams.
  • Current unrestricted NSW Driver's Licence, and willingness to travel across the Far West LHD to deliver care, with possible over night stays.
  • Experience in delivering and co-ordinating, Community Health Promotion programs.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervision experience, including the ability to support junior staff/students and contribute to strategic planning and service improvement initiatives. Ability to actively participate in the planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting on programs.
