About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist to join our Wagga Wagga Base Hospital Pharmacy Team. You will assist in the provision of a comprehensive pharmacy service and information, advice and emergency supplies to other hospitals and health care facilities as required.
As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:
Prepare and supply all medications for use in HITH (Hospital in the Home) including extemporaneous an aseptically prepared medications
Providing information pertaining to patients and other members of the healthcare team as required.
Distribute medication to patients
Be involved in departmental audits and KPI data collections as requested
Record clinical intervention incidents in IIMS and the pharmacy intervention databases as appropriate
Commit to development, participating in Pharmacy Department education and training activities
Work according to the departmental safe work methods and guidelines

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
A tertiary qualification in Pharmacy with full AHPRA registration
A minimum of 3 years Hospital Pharmacy experience post registration
Experience and skills in sterile manufacture, stability of antibiotics and other extemporaneously prepared products
Experience and skills in clinical pharmacy with the ability to apply this knowledge to practical situations
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
