This position is funded until June 2027, and staff are required to work a shift pattern that includes day (8.30-5pm or 9.30-6pm) and afternoon shift patterns (11am-7:30pm).
If you are an overseas qualified Social Worker, you are required to have your qualifications assessed by the AASW to meet the position criteria.

Role Requirements
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the following criteria in your application:
- Social Worker or Occupational Therapist qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award, current full registration with AHPRA and/or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer. Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Psychologist with a four year degree in psychology and registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA).
- Ability to complete risk assessments, mental health assessments and knowledge of mental health literacy education for young people.
- Ability to provide counselling and knowledge of brief therapeutic interventions to young people who present with issues related to mental health, sexual health, use of alcohol and other drugs and general wellbeing.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication and problem solving skills and its application to consult, liaise and negotiate with young people, family members and carers as well as communicate effectively with other professionals.
- Ability to work as part of a busy & complex multi-disciplinary team and to exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters, commensurate with years of experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence based practice and a commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
- A sound understanding of privacy legislation, the principles of informed consent for minors, the limits on confidentiality and mandatory reporting of suspected child abuse.
- Computer skills, capacity to use health information systems and telephone skills.
