Achieve Something Great
A fantastic opportunity is now available to become part of our dynamic team of community-based Early Childhood Dietitians. If you're driven, enthusiastic, and committed to improving health outcomes for children and their families, this role offers the chance to create meaningful impact every day. The Early Childhood Nutrition Service delivers highquality, community-based paediatric nutrition support for children aged 0-6 years within the Healthy Kids & Families Directorate of South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD). Our team works closely with families across the district, particularly those experiencing vulnerability, to promote healthy growth, positive feeding relationships, and long-term wellbeing. In this role, you'll also collaborate with a wide range of health professionals, contributing to education, research, and quality improvement initiatives that strengthen early childhood nutrition across the district. You'll have the opportunity to work across multiple clinic locations, gaining diverse experience and building strong community relationships. At SWSLHD, you'll be part of a workplace that is rewarding, progressive, and diverse.

Are You the Right Fit?
We're seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dietitian who is passionate about supporting children aged 0-6 years and their families. The ideal candidate thrives on helping families build positive, nurturing feeding relationships and understands the impact early nutrition has on lifelong health. You'll be someone who is confident working independently across community settings, while also valuing the support and guidance of an experienced and collaborative team. Your ability to manage your own clinics, adapt to diverse family needs, and contribute to a positive team culture will set you up for success in this role.

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

  • Post graduate qualification or Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics as recognized by the Dietitians Association of Australia.
  • Describe your experience in managing a complex paediatric caseload (0-6 years). What advanced clinical skills do you use, and how did you ensure your practice was evidencebased?
  • Provide examples of when you contributed to service development or quality improvement. What was your role and what outcomes were achieved?
  • Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
