What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse within Cardiac Rehabilitation, you will provide comprehensive nursing care and rehabilitation support to patients referred to the program. You will play a key role in patient assessment, education, exercise prescription and ongoing care coordination to support recovery and self-management.
Assess, manage and support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey
Deliver education, counselling and self-management strategies to patients and families
Conduct exercise assessments, testing and tailored exercise prescription
Coordinate referrals and communicate with GPs, cardiologists and allied health providers
Promote patient participation and reduce barriers to accessing rehabilitation services

Essential Criteria
License: Current Class A
Qualification: Post grad qualifications in cardiology/cardiothoracic
Registration: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated relevant and extensive clinical nursing experience as deemed appropriate by WSLHD
Demonstrated competency in Advanced Life Support and ECG/Rhythm analysis
Demonstrated ability to work in a small team environment
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement through active participation in continuous quality improvement activities
Cultural awareness of population needs/Diverse Language skills is desirable
Experience of previously working in cardiac rehabilitation is an advantage
Willing to join professional association/attend CR clinician certification
