Catholic Healthcare is excited to introduce our Inspirit Model of Care at Villa Maria Eastern Heights in the coming months. As part of this transformation, we’re seeking dedicated Catering Assistants to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.

About the role:

As a Catering Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the wellbeing and dignity of our residents by providing high-quality food service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and serving meals according to the Chef’s instructions
• Delivering meals in a respectful, person-centred manner that supports resident independence and preferences
• Maintaining accurate dietary records and reporting any discrepancies
• Collaborating with the care team to gather feedback and support special events
• Assisting colleagues during busy periods and promoting a supportive team environment

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate in Food Safety or related field (desirable)
• Understanding of food safety standards
• Warm, empathetic communication skills and experience engaging with people from diverse backgrounds
• Professional and respectful approach to residents and their families
• A commitment to upholding the dignity, values, and spiritual beliefs of those in your care
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
