The Opportunity
Peninsula Private Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Perioperative Services Manager (POSM) to join our expanding perioperative department. This senior leadership role will see you leading service delivery, driving operational performance, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical and operational leadership across perioperative services
Lead and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary team
Establish and maintain strong relationships with Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs)
Ensure compliance with NSQHS, ACORN and relevant legislative standards
Oversee theatre utilisation, workforce planning and resource management
Drive financial performance and operational efficiency
Lead quality improvement, accreditation and clinical risk initiatives
Support education, training and staff development programs
Contribute to strategic planning and service innovation
About Peninsula Private Hospital
Peninsula Private Hospital is a 62-bed facility on the Redcliffe Peninsula, offering surgical, medical and rehabilitation services. The hospital includes 4 operating theatres, 2 procedure rooms, a 3-stage recovery unit and CSSD. The hospital is currently undergoing significant expansion, including a High Dependency Unit planned for late 2026.
Selection Criteria
Essential
Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
Postgraduate qualification in nursing
Minimum 5 years' senior perioperative nursing experience
Previous experience at NUM level or equivalent
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
High level of computer literacy
Proven workforce and HR management experience
Commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care
Desirable
Leadership or management qualification (or working towards)
