Front Office Supervisor
FRONT OFFICE SUPERVISOR - Reef View Hotel
Hamilton Island is seeking an experienced and guest-focused Front Office Supervisor to join the team at the Reef View Hotel, our largest accommodation property. In this leadership role, you'll support the Front Office Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences while supervising a team of Front Office Attendants and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the department.

Your Role
As Front Office Supervisor, you'll assist the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily operations, supporting team performance, and ensuring guests receive friendly, professional, and efficient service at all times. You'll play a key role in maintaining service standards, resolving guest concerns, and driving operational excellence.
Where you'll make an impact
- Supervise Front Office Attendants and support daily operations
- Ensure team members follow HIE policies and procedures
- Respond to guest enquiries, requests, and complaints professionally
- Coordinate with Housekeeping to maximise guest satisfaction
- Conduct staff training and support ongoing development initiatives
- Assist with room allocations and overbooking management strategies
- Monitor cashiering activities and report discrepancies as required
- Oversee city ledgers, house accounts, and late charge management
- Produce and maintain accurate operational reports
- Assist in maintaining Front Office standards and procedures

To be successful, you will need:
- Current Australian or transferable Driver Licence (Desireable)
- Certificate III in Hospitality Operations or equivalent (Desireable)
- Minimum 12 months' experience in a similar Front Office leadership role
- Strong knowledge of hotel front office systems and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership experience and a motivating team-focused approach
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Reliable and flexible with shifts, weekends, and public holidays
