Customer Director - QLD & New Zealand

We are seeking a Customer Director based in our Milton, QLD office, reporting to the ANZ Commercial Director. You will manage a portfolio of clients across QLD and New Zealand, operating as the single point of contact for all commercial and relationship matters. You will drive business growth, lead the full pre-contract process, and champion a customer-centric culture across the business.
You will:
- Act as the primary customer contact from business development through to contract signature, supporting project teams through execution.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, gathering customer intelligence to share with Sales, Tendering, and Product Platform teams.
- Lead the full pre-contract process including Business Opportunity Reviews, Go/No Go decisions, and Tender Review Meetings.
- Define bid strategy, lead negotiations, and ensure tender teams are adequately resourced.
- Drive revenue growth by promoting existing and new product lines, with performance measured on Order Intake, Gross Margin, and customer satisfaction.
- Influence customer decision-making processes and engage key stakeholders at all levels.
- Uphold Alstom's standards of ethics and compliance across all sales and customer management activity.
All About You:
- Degree in Engineering or Business; MBA desirable.
- Strong established network within the Australian railway industry, including customer and government connections in QLD/NZ.
- Proven ability to build and execute commercial strategy to deliver measurable business growth.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills across all levels.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in rail, related infrastructure, or project engineering.
- High proficiency in Alstom's products and services.
- Willingness to travel as required.
