Salary Range: School Officer Level 3: $34.17 to $35.62 Gross per hour plus 12.75% Superannuation

About the Role

The Industrial Technology and Design Assistant works under general supervision of the technology teacher to provide support services in the industrial technology and design department

Typical duties performed may include, but are not limited to:

  • Under general supervision of the technology teacher/s, perform tasks associated with classroom learning
    including:
    Preparing and setting up workshop materials and resources
    Packing away/dismantling equipment and materials and storing appropriately
    Operating industrial technology and design plant and equipment
    Providing practical assistance to students in using classroom resources
    Preparing displays and promotional materials for exhibits and events as required
    Monitor the quantities of equipment, materials and supplies and advise the technology teachers when purchases are required
    Monitor all electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure they adhere to policies, protocols and standards
    Responsibility for ensuring the maintenance of equipment, tools, and machinery at regular intervals
    Identify and report any unsafe practices within the department to the teacher/s
    Assisting in the support of student engagement

Work Requirements

  • Hold a Working with Children Blue Card
  • Hold a current Driver Licence
  • Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education
