What's the role?
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Village Manager to oversee the daily operations of a large remote village environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of accommodation, catering, housekeeping, grounds, and support services while leading a diverse team and maintaining strong client relationships.
As the leader of the village, you will drive operational excellence, foster a positive workplace culture, and ensure all services are delivered to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the village, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.
- Manage accommodation, catering, housekeeping, grounds, and village services teams.
- Build and maintain strong client, stakeholder, and employee relationships.
- Drive operational performance, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead workforce planning, rostering, recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company standards.
- Monitor budgets, costs, reporting, and financial performance.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, incident investigations, and safety meetings.
- Promote employee engagement, wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences while meeting contractual and KPI requirements.
About You
- Proven experience managing large-scale village, accommodation, hospitality, catering, or remote site operations.
- Strong leadership experience managing diverse operational teams.
- Demonstrated knowledge of food safety, HACCP, workplace health and safety, and environmental compliance.
- Experience managing client relationships and service delivery against key performance indicators.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, reporting, and cost management.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel safely to and from work
- Physically fit and able to work long shifts (up to 11 hours)
- You will be required to obtain a National Police Check, should you not have one dated within the last 6 months
- Ability to endure remote environments in extreme weather conditions
- Must pass a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol screening
