We're currently looking for a motivated and hands-on Assistant Manager / 2IC to join the team at Kip Adelaide North. This is a key support role working alongside the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of a busy dog and cat boarding facility. You'll help lead the team on shift, support daily operations, provide exceptional care to our guests, and help create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Whether you come from retail, hospitality, operations, customer service, animal care or another fast-paced leadership environment, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the front, building strong teams, and creating a positive workplace culture. Key responsibilities: Support the daily operations of the site alongside the Site Manager Lead and motivate team members to deliver exceptional service and high-quality pet care Assist with rostering, workflow coordination and shift management Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and safety Handle customer enquiries, bookings and escalations professionally Assist with onboarding, coaching and supporting team members Step into operational leadership when the Site Manager is unavailable Help drive a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture About you: Previous experience working with dogs, cats or within an animal care environment is highly regarded but not essential Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred but not essential Strong communication and customer service skills Hands-on, proactive and willing to jump in wherever needed Able to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure Passionate about animal welfare and team culture Comfortable working weekends, public holidays and peak holiday periods as required Why join Kip?
