Hosted Events Manager Full-Time | Abbotsford, Melbourne VIC | Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days from home) | $65k-$75k

Lead the people, run the operations - and know that every great event happened because you set it up right

AmazingCo runs hundreds of kids' parties and corporate team building events across Australia every month, delivered by a national team of 30+ hosts and contractors. You're the person who makes sure all of it runs - the scheduling, the training, the logistics, and the customer experience that kicks it all off.

This role is across the full journey: a parent reaches out about their kid's birthday, you help them find the right experience and lock it in, then you make sure the right host shows up on the day, fully prepared, and delivers something they'll talk about for months. The satisfaction is real - and so is the accountability.

Full-time, 38 hours per week.

What you'll actually be doing

  • Lead, recruit and develop a national team of 30+ event hosts and contractors - making sure every host is well-matched, trained and ready to deliver
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to keep performance high
  • Oversee scheduling, availability management and event allocation
  • Working with a team leader on the ground to manage equipment, costumes and logistics so every event is set up to succeed
  • Assist customers enquiring about kids' parties and team building events - guiding them through their options and securing the booking
  • Handle post-event feedback, identify trends and drive continuous improvement
  • Approve host invoices and keep operational systems accurate and up to date

You don't need an events CV - but you need the instinct

What we're really looking for is someone who thinks ahead, manages people well, and keeps a lot of moving parts organised without dropping any of them.
This might look like:

  • You have a background in the arts (theatre, performance, dance etc.), whether that's producing your own work, teaching, performing, working in a company, or managing other creatives. You already know what it means to coordinate something live, where every moving part has to execute well and there's no undoing a bad show.
  • You've managed a team in hospitality, retail or customer service and know what it takes to get consistent performance out of people
  • You've coordinated complex schedules or logistics and found genuine satisfaction in a process that runs exactly as planned
  • You've led in an environment where something going wrong on the day isn't an option - so you make sure it doesn't
  • You've worked with kids or families in any capacity - that's a genuine bonus
  • You bring real passion for creating great experiences for people

We want to know that you've led others before and you know how to get the best out of them.

What we're looking for

  • Proven people management experience - you know how to coach, develop and hold people accountable
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities without things slipping
  • A proactive problem-solver - you preempt issues rather than react to them
  • Confident communicator, comfortable on the phone and natural at building rapport quickly
  • Calm under pressure with a knack for practical, fast decisions
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience in events, hospitality, customer service or operations is valued
  • Experience with kids or families is a bonus

What success looks like

  • Events run smoothly because of how you set them up - not in spite of it
  • Your hosts show up prepared, confident and clear on what's expected
  • Customers arrive excited and leave wanting to book again
  • Scheduling and logistics are tight - nothing falls through the cracks
  • Your team trusts your feedback and grows because of it

Why AmazingCo

  • A genuinely warm and high-performing team - Melbourne HQ plus a connected global team
  • Flexible hours designed around your life, not ours
  • Dog-friendly Abbotsford office, free street parking, easy public transport access
  • Staff discounts across our experience range
  • A values-driven team that takes culture seriously
  • Real progression if you want it - we hire and promote on potential

To apply

Send your resume and a short cover letter telling us about a time you spotted a problem before it became one and got ahead of it. We want to understand how you think, not just what roles you've held.
