About the Role:
You will be working at the Leeton and Narrandera Hospitals to support a good mix of inpatient and outpatient alongside a small but mighty multi-disciplinary team.
The Allied Health Professional is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, providing quality services to patients/clients of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) in order to meet their health and well-being needs. Dietitians are Allied Health Professionals who contribute to the promotion of health and the prevention and treatment of illness by optimising the nutrition of populations, communities and individuals.
Dietitians apply the science of human nutrition to help people understand the relationship between food and health. This supports them to make choices to attain and maintain health, and to prevent and treat illness and disease. Dietitians provide a comprehensive range of nutrition services including inpatients, outpatients, ambulatory care and community across the MLHD.

Our ideal candidate will have:
Tertiary qualifications in nutrition and dietetics with eligibility for full membership of Dietitians Australia, including Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status
Demonstrated clinical experience in general medical/surgical and/or community-based settings, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied caseload
Commitment to quality improvement, evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development, with compliance with mandatory training requirements
