Join the Fairfield Community Mental Health team as a Depot Nurse and play a vital role in delivering person-centred, recovery-oriented care to consumers in the community. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support individuals managing mental health conditions, with a focus on safe administration and monitoring of depot medications, clinical assessment, and continuity of care.

You will demonstrate:
- Proven experience delivering safe, high-quality, and culturally responsive nursing care in a relevant clinical setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, particularly in medication management and risk assessment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build therapeutic relationships with consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary team
- A commitment to person-centred, recovery-oriented practice and continuous professional development
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively, managing competing priorities effectively
- A proactive approach to quality improvement, safety, and adherence to professional standards and legislative requirements
- Professional integrity, resilience, and the ability to manage and resolve conflict in a respectful manner
Selection Criteria

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Describe a time where you provided nursing care to a consumer with complex mental health needs. How did you assess, plan, and evaluate care to ensure it was safe, evidence-based, and person-centred?
- Provide an example of how you have effectively communicated with consumers, carers, and the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive health outcomes. How did your approach support engagement and continuity of care?

Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
