Join the Team
As the Deputy Director of our Finance team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership across eHealth NSW, driving enterprise-wide financial planning, performance optimisation, and investment strategy to support a digitally enabled health system. You will lead key initiatives including the Technology Business Management and Continuous Improvement function, while enabling data-driven decision-making and sustainable financial outcomes.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead enterprise financial planning, forecasting, and performance monitoring to support organisational strategy and financial sustainability
  • Drive capital investment planning, including business case development, funding submissions, and lifecycle asset management
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across NSW Health, Treasury, and external organisations to influence funding strategies and commercial outcomes
  • Oversee financial governance, compliance, and reporting in line with legislation, Treasury policy, and audit requirements
  • Build and lead high-performing teams while embedding continuous improvement, agile ways of working, and data-driven decision-making

About You
We are looking for someone who:

  • Demonstrates extensive senior leadership experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and governance
  • Brings strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and negotiation skills, with experience working across complex organisations or government environments
  • Holds relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline, with CA, CPA, or equivalent professional membership
  • Has a proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Understands public sector or large-scale funding frameworks and can align financial strategy to organisational priorities
