Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital is an acute hospital that supports a population of approximately 80,000 and is the only ANZAC Memorial hospital remaining in NSW. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Midwives to join our casual pool team. In this role, you will ensure optimal outcomes for women and their families by promoting best practice and appropriately escalating care when required. You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary health team, using effective communication to plan, implement, assess, and evaluate patient care. Acting as an advocate for all women and their families, you will provide culturally sensitive and inclusive care, including support for Indigenous and multicultural communities, and deliver specialised care for women undergoing complex procedures.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Current registration as a Registered Midwife Division 1 with AHPRA.
  2. Demonstrated experience and clinical skills in Midwifery.
  3. Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing/midwifery care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.
  4. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
  5. Demonstrated effective communication written and verbal skills.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
  7. Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  8. Ability to work a flexible roster, day evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit or team requirements.
