As Duty Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest service, smooth departmental coordination, and strong compliance across all areas. You'll be the senior on-site leader when required, making confident decisions, supporting your team, and ensuring every guest experience runs seamlessly from arrival to departure.

This role is ideal for experienced hospitality professionals who are hands-on, calm under pressure, and passionate about delivering consistent, high-quality service in a unique alpine environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Overseeing daily hotel operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Security
  • Leading and supporting staff to ensure smooth service delivery and operational consistency
  • Managing guest experiences, including handling complaints and resolving issues professionally
  • Ensuring compliance with RSA, licensing laws, and internal hotel policies
  • Monitoring end-of-day procedures, financial controls, and operational security
  • Supporting rostering, staffing, and cross-department coordination during peak periods
  • Maintaining a safe, secure, and well-organised hotel environment at all times

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years' experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations across front and back of house
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure or emergency situations
  • Excellent communication skills with guests, staff, contractors, and management
  • Strong attention to detail with financial, operational, and compliance processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel systems (e.g. PMS, rostering platforms)
  • Current NSW RSA Certificate and valid Driver's Licence
  • Experience in alpine or resort environments (highly regarded)
