Role Overview
This is a ground-floor opportunity for an experienced derivatives professional to join Trading 212 Australia. As Senior Operations Analyst, you'll be a subject-matter expert across CFDs and exchange-traded options - working directly with clients, monitoring positions, producing regulatory reporting, and playing an active role in shaping the Australian business.
What you'll do
Serve as the primary point of contact for client queries relating to CFD trades, positions, margin, and account activity
Monitor live client CFD and exchange-traded options positions across markets and asset classes, escalating risks where needed
Support daily reconciliation of client positions and manage corporate actions affecting open derivative positions
Prepare daily, and monthly position and exposure reports for management and regulatory purposes
Contribute to ASIC regulatory reporting obligations, including trade reporting where applicable
Monitor liquidity, funding levels, and margin utilisation, liaising with UK Treasury and Risk teams
Support the build-out of Trading 212's Australian derivatives offering across product, process, and systems
Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and enhance the client experience
What you need to have
3-5 years of experience in a derivatives-focused role at a brokerage, investment bank, or similar institution
Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
Strong expertise in CFDs, including product mechanics, client margining, and risk management
Solid knowledge of exchange-traded options across equities, indices, commodities, and/or FX
Experience in trade and position monitoring with a strong grasp of real-time risk management
Ability to communicate complex derivative concepts clearly to clients
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and/or reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
Nice to have
Familiarity with ASIC requirements, the AFSL framework, and product disclosure obligations
Experience in a start-up or greenfield market-entry environment
RG146 accreditation in Derivatives
