Project Manager - Renewables / Wind

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for Project Manager to join GHD's national Delivery Phase Services (DPS) business.

This is not just a delivery role. We're looking for someone who can win work, grow client relationships, and then lead the successful delivery of projects.

Your industry knowledge, network, and credibility in the market will see you playing a key role in expanding our project delivery footprint. You'll open doors, build new client relationships, and convert opportunities into secured work, positioning GHD as a trusted delivery partner across renewables and power generation.

This role will be based in our Brisbane office. Occasional site travel (with prior notice) may be required on an ad-hoc basis.

This position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Winning work and generating new opportunities through your network and market presence
• Building and strengthening client relationships across developers, contractors and OEMs
• Supporting and leading bids, proposals and pursuits, contributing to a strong DPS pipeline
• Leading delivery of projects through the execution phase
• Leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering client excellence
• Coordinating with site-based teams and contractors

What you will bring to the team:

• Experience as a Project Manager within renewables or power generation projects, over the last 15 years' delivering work through the development and execution phases, in particular on wind projects in Australia
• A strong ability to identify, pursue and convert opportunities into secured work
• Experience working in an engineering consulting environment
• Industry connections (client or contractor-side or for OEM)
• Experience in developing proposals, budgets and schedules for execution projects
• High attention to detail and demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
• Embrace our shared commitment to safety in all aspects of work
• Construction management or site experience welcome
• Bachelor's degree qualification in engineering or other relevant discipline.

• Developing new business opportunities utilising your established industry connections both with clients and subcontractors
• Supporting business development initiatives and being accountable for bids assigned to you as a bid leader
• Leading, coordinating and administering end-to end delivery of the project from commencement through to finalisation
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with the client and internal team and driving collaboration to meet client and project objectives and expectations
• Preparing project management plans and ensuring technical compliance, project governance, lessons learnt capture and process enhancements to embed continuous improvement.
• Ensuring project financial performance and risk management, being accountability for project safety, scope, cost, quality and schedule, while providing an environment within which the project team can thrive
• Coordinating with site-based teams and contractors
• Utilising your experience to mentor junior team members and foster a culture of safety, innovation, sustainability and collaboration.
