Role Overview

The Expert Value Advisor is a strategic catalyst for accelerating organisational digital transformation by aligning technology investments with core business objectives. This role focuses on crafting compelling value narratives through robust business cases, comprehensive value roadmaps, and ROI models that substantiate transformation initiatives. By harnessing AI-driven insights, SaaS strategies, cloud architectures, and SAP solutions and capabilities, you will engage C-suite executives and senior stakeholders in collaborative value assessments, driving measurable outcomes and sustainable business impact. This role blends industry expertise, strategic sales insight, and value-based advisory, enabling you to work closely with customers, sales teams, and partners to drive pipeline growth, secure revenue, and elevate SAP's data and AI leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Sales and Virtual Account Teams (VATs) to Define and Articulate Value Propositions, with a primary Focus on SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) Solutions and Services, while Supporting Broader SAP Offerings as Needed. Understand business objectives, challenges, and opportunities; collaborate on account strategies to position SAP as a strategic partner, influencing executive-level decisions through value-based sales plays.
  • Lead Value Discovery, Collaborative Value Assessments and Business Case Development. Conduct value assessments, map innovation scenarios, and quantify commercial and economic impact using benchmarking and modelling tools.
  • Champion Value Management Practices. Engage in account planning, develop business cases and financial analysis aligned with customer priorities and SAP's strategic goals while establishing frameworks for continuous value realisation for example, leveraging Value Lifecycle Management (VLM) and Value Modelling Tools.
  • Engage Senior Stakeholders. Present findings and recommendations to executive-level stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Collaborate Across SAP Ecosystem. Work closely with pre-sales, solution engineers, industry advisors, architect advisors, and global value advisory to deliver holistic transformation strategies.
  • Promote Thought Leadership. Represent SAP at industry events and on social platforms, sharing insights on Cloud transformation, AI adoption, and Sustainability-driven innovation. Develop and curate reusable value-based thought leadership content for key decision-makers (HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, CIOs) across industries.
  • Enhance Methodologies & Tools. Continuously evolve value advisory practices to progress pipeline, deliver tangible business outcomes, and increase adoption and consumption of SAP cloud solutions and services.

Qualifications:

  • Experience
    • 12+ years in Management Consulting or Value Management Practitioner across multiple industries.
    • Deep understanding and proven track record in Cloud, SaaS, Data & AI, and enterprise architecture principles.
    • Proven CXO engagement skills.
    • Experience in Human Capital Management; experience in Finance, Spend and Supply Chain, Data & AI is a plus.
  • Expertise
    • Strong understanding of the value creation frameworks, value chains, processes, strategic imperatives, investment criteria, budget cycles, value roadmaps etc.
    • Ability to produce storylines and high-quality presentations in PowerPoint with a very keen eye for detail.
    • Proficiency in SaaS Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) creation, value modelling, and developing impactful business case narratives. Comfortable with doing financial analysis and modelling in MS Excel.
    • Familiarity with SAP solutions, including SAP Success Factors, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP Business AI, SAP BTP, SAP BDC, and industry-specific offerings.

    • Executive presence demonstrated by excellent and energetic public speaking skills.
    • Ability to synthesise complex scenarios into clear, actionable insights.
    • Design thinking, facilitating workshops, and operationalising customer experience.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
    • Aptitude for analytical and creative thinking.
    • Experience in diverse technology landscapes and process/technology; SAP background is a plus.
    • Understanding of cloud software operating model.
    • Passion for technology. SAP technology knowledge is a bonus.
  • Education
    • MBA or equivalent degree from a recognised institution.
